A common issue with all direct fuel injection engines like the FA20-DIT found in the Subaru WRX is carbon buildup, the Mishimoto PCV Baffled Oil Catch Can System is engineered and designed to reduce the carbon buildup and separate oil particles. The internal air diverter increases air turbulence and assures all the oil sinks to the bottom of the can, leaving nothing nothing but clear air to pass through the 50-micron bronze filter. A baffle inside keeps the collected oil from splashing around under harsh race conditions. The cans are made out of 100% billet 6061 Aluminum which include two black nylon fittings and direct-fit steel powder-coated brackets which mount the cans in serviceable locations. This makes for maintaining the Oil Catch Can System a breeze especially since the cans are 100% washable. Silicone hoses are offered in Black, Blue, and Red which keeps the engine bay looking good and clean. Mishimoto highly recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch cans every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established.
